The Dutch Venue Association sets high standards for its members, which ensures that DVA member venues meet strict standards. We check each venue against a thorough checklist. Final certification is carefully monitored by DVA's independent chairman to ensure the highest quality standards.
All DVA locations are registered with the Chamber of Commerce. They hold the necessary permits, including a license under the Liquor and Catering Act, as well as an establishment license. In terms of food safety, they work meticulously according to the guidelines of an HACCP certification or according to the applicable hygiene code. Moreover, the regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are meticulously followed, including the requirements for Company Emergency Response (BHV). The site guarantees quality and safety on all fronts.
Every DVA member is required by law to complete a risk assessment and evaluation and action plan. Has the member arranged this properly? Are the RI&E and PoA properly tailored to the risks to the organization? Based on an audit, the organization is assessed according to the guidelines of the labor inspection.
The locations have well-trained staff and provide regular up-to-date training. Several locations serve as certified apprenticeships, follow benefits rules and ensure fair payment and commitment of employees. DVA locations stand for equal treatment and do not discriminate against employees.
CSR initiatives vary by member and location, with no uniform DVA guideline. Members subscribe to MVO Nederland's "Changing Together in the Hospitality Industry" rules. They also participate in workshops to promote awareness and relevance. CSR activities include housing, energy, human resources, purchasing, sustainability, preventing food waste and waste management.
DVA locations are continuously monitored for solvency. DVA guarantees execution of agreements, even in the event of location problems, by offering alternative options.
Safety is paramount at DVA venues and this is ensured at all times. Event risks are evaluated in consultation with the client. Security personnel are tailored to the client's needs and strict fire safety standards are maintained. A flexible security script is in place. Of course, possible terrorist threats are taken seriously. Electrical equipment conforms to NEN standards. Peridodic evacuation drills are held.
In collaboration, location and client establish clear agreements. These include clear agreements on payment terms, rates, changes, costs and house rules. This agreement ensures a streamlined and transparent collaboration. Locations generally use the DVA Delivery and Cancellation Policy.
